Time saved from data entry and correcting manual errors has meant Fit for Work is a cost neutral addition
Using data to demonstrate hazardous exposure supports annual insurance premium negotiations
To-the-minute time recording streamlines budgets and demonstrates hazardous exposure
Like many other SMEs, accurate time and attendance data was key to the efficient day to day running of the business.
DuctcleanUK needed a way to record precisely where and when any of their 250 staff were ‘on the clock’ for two key reasons; so that they got paid for the actual hours they worked (including differentiating travel time for fatigue management) and so their exposure to hazardous materials could be monitored for personal safety.
Fit for Work’s facial ID and geolocation features enabled DCUK to determine precisely how long any worker was on a particular job. The ability for the user to check-in and out of individual tasks using the app ensured accurate working hours were recorded down to the minute as well as exposure time to hazardous materials.
The dashboard enabled managers to respond to alerts and message the workforce in real time and a weekly usage report presented a clear overview of the salient data. Most importantly, however, Fit for Work was seamlessly integrated with their payroll system, replacing the need for paper timesheets and saving the business time and money.
The daily check in / check out feature has replaced DCUK’s paper timesheets with 100% accurate time and attendance data which integrates seamlessly with their existing payroll system. Aside from the environmental impact of going paperless, this efficiency has resulted in saving around £1500 a month on admin costs for payroll data entry making it a cost neutral addition to the business.
As well as keeping staff safer by monitoring exposure, they have been able to use the data to negotiate reduced insurance premiums by quantifying exposure to hazardous materials.
